Facts

In 2006 the Klöpfer Group, Garching (www.kloepfer.de) decides to turn the central import division supplying its own wholesalers into a business-to-business import company and therefore launches the ICK Holzimport in Osterode and Bremen. ICK quickly becomes one of the leading German wood import companies. The large overseas warehouse in Bremen is mainly used for storing sawn timber, profiled wood, scantling and high-grade woods from all over the world.

In 2008 the Klöpfer Gruppe takes over the activities of hb Holzwerkstoffe, the leading German plywood importer with locations in Bremen, Cologne and Speyer and merges them with ICK Holzimporte to create Klöpfer Holzimport. Under the management of Wolfgang Hattendorf Klöpfer Holzimport becomes an independent division within the Klöpfer Gruppe.

In 2009 the trade concept Weltholz Sortimente is developed and will be presented to the public for the first time at the Interzum in Cologne.
